Southern Oaks Athletic Club offers a variety of fitness classes for members at every fitness level. Alternate your workouts with our multiple formats to gain the best physical fitness: Aquafit, Barre, Body Xtreme, Box & Burn, Cycle & Burn, SOAC Cycle, Fitbeats, HIIT, Mat Pilates, L2L (Liquid to Land) Aqua Xtreme & Mat Pilates, Yoga, and specialty Sunday Spotlight classes. We even have Club50 classes tailored for our physically active senior SOAC members. From strength training to cardio, core, and balance work, we are here to help you move better, feel better, and perform better.

We pride ourselves on offering quality fitness programs that are geared toward our members’ needs. SOAC’s highly-trained instructors will motivate you to become your best while watching closely to ensure that all of our classes are safe and fun. All SOAC GroupX Instructors are required to maintain CPR Certification, current fitness certifications, and to regularly engage in continuing education in order to continue offering the most up-to-date, evidence-based, and creative classes!

No matter your preference, SOAC has formats and fitness instructors on site to meet your needs. Our team encourages SOAC members to try them all because you never know what new passion you may discover here at SOAC! While non-members do need permission in advance to attend classes, your guest may visit the club up to 5 times each year. Southern Oaks memberships have unlimited access to our gym, pool, patio, and at least 50 fitness classes weekly.

    If you have been an athletic club member in the past, you know that simply offering fitness classes is never enough. The purpose of a fitness class is to have an educated instructor present to ensure that you perform the exercises safely and effectively in order to get great results with minimal chance of injury.

    This is why Southern Oaks is dedicated to providing the best fitness instructors in our area for our members. All of our instructors have undergone rigorous background checks, interviews, and class observations and reviews to make sure they have the knowledge and skill to help our members get the most from each and every class they attend.

    We also know that experience is not enough. You also need an instructor that cares about your personal development. In order to get the best results, you need fitness instructors who are knowledgeable and experienced in the class format taught. In addition, SOAC’s GroupX Instructors are also dedicated to the improvement of every one of their students.

     

     

     

  • CONVENIENT CLASS SCHEDULE

    One of the most difficult aspects of having a club membership is finding fitness classes that meet your hectic schedule. Southern Oaks offers early morning, mid-morning, and afternoon/evening fitness classes, as well as classes on weekends. This helps our members find the class they want at a time that is convenient for them.

    We also feel that the old saying is true – variety is the spice of life – and this is why we pride ourselves on offering a little something for everyone. We encourage our members to try something a little different to help take their fitness to the next level.
