Beginner Hitters
This class is for players aged 11-17 who are just starting out in tennis. These players have either never taken lessons or have very little experience. Due to their age this is an all yellow ball class. The focus in this class will be learning the basic techniques of ground strokes, volleying, and serving. Players will learn the basics of scoring, rules, and positioning for point play. Most true beginners will most likely need to go through multiple sessions of this class before moving to our recreational hitters group. This is a great starting point for those wanting to play on a middle school team or to start learning to eventually play for their high school.

Recreational Hitters
This class is designed for juniors aged 12-17 who have recreational experience taking tennis lessons or playing tennis matches. They have either completed some of our beginner hitter sessions or have taken multiple private lessons to become familiar with all the basic techniques. This class will reinforce the basics such as ground strokes, serving, volleying, rallying skills and point play. Players in this group are mostly interested in trying out for their high school team and playing in a more social and recreational sense. These players are not playing tournaments year round but still want to stay active and be on the court. Emphasis will be on setting and improving a basic foundation to grow into a lifetime of tennis. The goal would be to get players playing matches and tournaments to move from this group to our tournament team group if they are interested in playing more competitively.
